From the northern coast of Canada to the tropical cities of Mexico, there’s a place for you to party hard to the hottest EDM DJs and the top names in music. Here’s a list of the top ten music festivals across North America.

While the flagship music festival for EDC happens in Las Vegas, its growing popularity has expanded the venues worldwide, including the other side of the American coast in Orlando and down south in Mexico City. The music festival lineup has all of the big names in EDM, which includes Armin Van Buuren, Hardwell, Yellow Claw, Tiësto, Zedd and over 200 other names. Not only do you get to enjoy performances of epic proportions, but you get to get in touch with your inner child since EDC is a real carnival with all the fun rides, too.

Ultra Music Festival

In the Miami heat in March, Ultra becomes a major music festival that hosts close to 1/5 of Miami’s population to a wild three day concert. Their lineup is packed with famous EDM names that you would typically catch as resident DJs in Las Vegas, which include the Chainsmokers, Marshmello, David Guetta and Afrojack. The music festival also makes its appearance down in Mexico City for a party south of the border.

Austin City Limits

If you’re looking for something more eclectic in musical palate, head to one of the major American music capitals: Austin, Texas. The October festival spans across two weekends and attracts over 450,000 attendees, but for good reason. Not only are they about EDM here, but the headliners also include rap, rock, alternative and more. It’s the perfect festival to get a little taste of everything, such as attending a performance by Foo Fighters and then heading over to a different stage to see Cardi B.

The Governors Ball

Right in the outback in the farms of Manchester, Tennessee, Bonnaroo is the perfect outdoor music festival that boasts over 150 performances. There isn’t a shortage of things to do here since you’ll be doing some down south camping on a vast farmland and doing tons of activities to meet people, whether it’s yoga or running a 5K. The four-day festival lineup includes all types of artists, from Post Malone to the Lumineers to Odesza.

It seems like all the action happens everywhere but the East Coast! The Governors Ball shows some love right in the heart of New York City at Randall’s Island. It’s the perfect place for a music festival because you can ride the ferry over the East River to enjoy a little slice of heaven away from the hectic city. The lineup includes artists from all sides of the music world, including hip-hop artists, alternative, rock and electronica artists. Whether you want to hear live throwbacks to Lil’ Wayne, twerk to Major Lazer or sing your heart out to Florence + the Machine, there’s something here for everyone.

Veld is where electronica meets a bit of hip-hop in the busy city of Toronto, Canada. Annually held since 2012, the festival continues to grow and now reaches over 30,000 attendees. While it’s smaller scale may not be comparable to Austin City Limits attendance of 450,000, it doesn’t mean the lineup is anything to laugh at. We’re talking about over 30 acts, which include Steve Aoki, Skrillex, Kygo, Alesso, Cardi B and more.

Riverside wilderness takes on a whole new level of fun at Future Forest. The three-day music festival takes place on over 200 acres of forest that immerse its set right into nature, the only music festival of its kind in New Brunswick. There are over 80 EDM performers, along with visual and performance artists, such as aerialist, acrobats and fire performers. The campsite also dons a yoga retreat and hot showers, adding an extra “glamp” element to your festival experience.

Montreal, Quebec also has a music festival to offer: Osheaga. The three-day indie music festival spans over six stages. Don’t let the idea of the indie music scene scare you away. The lineup includes major artists, such as Childish Gambino, Gucci Mane and Hozier, as well as close to 100 other artists. The perk of this festival is that it is centrally located just minutes from downtown Montreal, where you can enjoy a great food scene and try your luck at the casino.

While you may want to escape to Ibiza or Berlin for amazing EDM performances, you can just look right in your backyard. From up north in Canada to south of the border in Mexico, North America has everything you need to get your hands on tickets to amazing music festivals.
